QMedDOCS is an offering by QMed by which we procure any type of document - journal articles, patents, book chapters, conference paper / abstracts etc. We have built a reputation for ourselves providing this full-fledged service in the last few years and have a fill rate of more than 90%. Most importantly, we ensure that copyright compliance and fair use terms are filled with care.

Scheme for libraries of Government Organizations, Hospitals and Medical (and related healthcare) colleges:

Annual Membership fee - Rs. 1800/-No Annual Membership fee
Charges per article:
Rs. 150/- for normal orders
Rs. 450/- for rush orders		Charges per article:
Rs. 300/- for normal orders
Rs. 600/- for rush orders

*Note: All articles will be delivered electronically by email. If you require printouts instead of email delivery, there will be an extra charge of Rs. 50/- per article.

Sources:

Normal orders - articles are procured from international libraries with whom we have tie-ups, where we are charged nothing or a minimal cost. We sincerely request libraries to order only those articles that are not available / difficult to procure from local libraries.

Rush orders - These articles are procured from international libraries / agencies with whom we have a tie-up for special rates.

Delivery timeframes :
  • Normal orders - 4 - 7 working days
  • Rush orders - 48 hours
  • For print copies - an additional day for courier delivery
Note :

*Occasionally some difficult to procure articles may cost more. We will intimate such details, and check with you before ordering for the same.
*The delivery time frames will work for about 95% of requests. However, we cannot absolutely guarantee delivery time – since we do not have these documents in-house.

You can order by sending e-mail in the following format: -

Subject : Client name - Request for article
Body : Full citation / detail of the document to be ordered. In the case of normal requests, please indicate if you wish to consider a rush request, (at Rs. 450/- for members or Rs. 600/- for non-members) in case of non-availability through normal channels.
* Please specify your organization’s name (and requestor's name if you wish)

Invoicing and payments :

Invoices are sent immediately after articles are despatched. Payment must be made within time frames stipulated below. Please pay promptly to ensure an interruption-free service.

Copyright Compliance:

Each article provided is procured only for the use of the requestor. For reproduction / distribution, the law requires ordering of multiple copies. Please contact us for quotes in case you need to order multiple copies.

Conditions :

  • The above pricing is valid for Government Organizations, Hospitals and Medical (and related healthcare) colleges.
  • Requests must come from the Institution’s library.
  • Articles will be delivered only to the Institution’s library. Librarians are requested to print out electronic articles, provide printouts to the requestor, and then destroy the TIFF files.
  • Member clients: If payments do not reach within a maximum of 30 days of the date of the invoice, then services will be suspended till invoice amounts are cleared.
  • Non-member clients: If payments do not reach within 20 days of the date of the invoice, then a fine of Rs. 50/- per article per week will be levied. This will be charged to your next order.
