| QMed was conceptualized in 1998,
and incorporated as a Private Limited company in Feb 1999. QMed Knowledge
Foundation was conceptualized in 2004 and is now under the process of registration. We
have submitted our application to the Charity Commissioner's office and should
be formally registered in December 2007

A librarian who has worked in the healthcare sector since 1992 - was the Chief librarian at the Hinduja Hospital and the consumer health library - HELP. She has undergone special training in searching the literature for "Evidence Based Medicine”.
She is the Vice President Elect for the Indian Association for Medical Informatics and will assume the post from January 2008.
